Social Impact Fund:
Social Impact Investments Inc. was founded with a vision of providing high-quality portfolio management and financial planning services while also generating funds to invest in the community. SIII is a for-profit entity but sets aside 20% of all earned revenue towards an in-house fund dedicated to supporting local initiatives focused on entrepreneurship and education. Started in 2018, the organization’s goal is to begin funding projects in 2020.
Socially-Responsible Investing:
Socially-Responsible Investing has quickly been gaining interest from investors, especially among younger generations. SIII is fully committed to supporting investors who are interested in supporting or avoiding specific industries, all without sacrificing progress towards your financial goals. Unlike investing in mutual funds or other pooled investment vehicles, you have the ability to exclude any sector, social issue or even a specific company from your portfolio. In this way SIII aims to learn from you in order to become an industry-leader in socially-responsible investing.
Financial Education:
Financial literacy is a very important topic and a core belief at SIII is that a more financially-educated population has a significant positive effect on society and the economy. Part of the mission is to help educate individuals around savings behavior and basic investing concepts (asset types, different account types, how to evaluate equities, etc). In the future this will be done through blogs, a YouTube Channel and social media outlets.
